Eligibility Requirements

B.A. (Hons.)/ B.A. under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at B.A. level. The subject in which admission is sought must be a Hons. subject at B.A. (Hons.) level/subject studied in all the three parts at B.A. level.

NOTE

During this Session no admission will be made in M.A. in Kannada.

Mode of Admission

Admissions are made through an Entrance Examination Postgraduate Entrance Test (PET) generally conducted between May/June every year. Notification for the Entrance Examination will be generally released during February every year.

Admission to Foreign Nationals

This course is open for Foreign Nationals as per the rules of the University. The inter-se merit among the applicants of various foreign nationals will be decided by the "Core Committee for Admissions of Foreign Nationals", which shall be deemed as final.
