About the course
As per the new course structure, all students admitted to the Programme will have to successfully complete six compulsory courses and ten optional courses. However, the programme may undergo changes from time to time.
Hostel accommodation is available for students admitted to the Programme. The application form for admission to the hostel can be obtained on request from the Registrar’s Office or from our website. Students who wish to take admission to the hostel should send the duly filled in application form along with an A/c Payee Demand Draft of Rs. 180/- (Rs. 90/- for the reserved category candidates). The fee for per student accommodation in a double room in the hostel per semester is Rs. 2,400/- for the boys’ hostel and Rs. 2,880/- for the girls’ hostel. The mess charges currently are Rs. 1,200/- (subject to change/revision) per month for breakfast and two meals a day. Single rooms can be provided in the boys’ hostel if there are vacancies after providing double room accommodation to all eligible candidates. The fees for the single rooms will be Rs. 2,880/- per semester.
The Institute also offers a separate one-year Certificate Course in Computer Applications for Economic Analysis for the M.A. and Ph.D. students of the Institute. This course is not a part of the M.A. Programme, but is complementary to it. Fees for the same will be charged separately.
