Jawaharlal Nehru Cooperative University to be first of its kind

The National Cooperative Union of India popular for imparting training in the co-operative sector is all set to be converted into a Cooperative University. Ghanshyam Amin of the National Cooperative Union of India said that the Centre has given the nod for the same and that a proposal towards that is sent to University Grants Commission (UGC).

Once accredited the University status, the primer National Cooperative Union is all set to become the first University in the co-operative sector not only in the country but also in the South Asia. The University would start with BA (Cooperatives), MBA, Law and MCE courses to start with before increasing the course offering in other related streams.
