There are two questions in this project assignment. Answer both the questions. All questions carry equal weightage. Please attach computer output, wherever required.
Question 1:
(a) Show that the NOR gate is a functionally complete set of gates.
(b) Create the SEC code for a 16 bit number.
(c) Draw a combinational circuit that converts a 4 digit binary number to its 2's complement. Make and state suitable assumptions.
(d) Design a 2 bit counter that counts till 2 only. Thus, the possible states of the counter would be: 00, 01, 10, 00, 01, 10, 00 ……….
Question 2:
(a) Write a program in 8086 assembly language that takes a two character input from the keyboard and converts it to equivalent binary, if both the characters are numeric digits.
(b) Write a program in 8086 assembly language that reverses a string using stack. The string can be assumed to be available in the data segment. The results are also to be created in the data segment. Properly document the program.
