The Student community fell into confusion after the recent announcement of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to cut engineering seats all over the country. Of the 38,000 seats to be cut, Engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh will loose about 4000 seats.
Andhra Pradesh currently has 82,250 Engineering seats out of which 69,913 seats will be filled under the EAMCET system. Needless to say, few seats are still pending court clearance and are expected to be filled in the EAMCET counseling that begins from around July 15.
