Drop in pass percentage in the Engineering stream and rise in the medical stream were notable features of the EAMCET. The highest mark in the engineering is 153 while in medicine 156 out of 160 marks.
The EAMCET committee Chairman and JNTU Vice Chancellor, K.Rajagopal said the committee decided to delete one question in the chemistry paper and the agriculture and medical stream. The committee received 273 complaints of which 44 were for engineering and 229 for the medical stream in response to the initial key.
The changes were made based on the suggestions and approved by the Subject Experts Committee. The Minister for Technical Education, Nayani Narasimha Reddy said that the counselling will begin in the first week of July
