Panel recommendations on EAMCET

Hyderabad
April 12, 2005

The high power committee on EAMCET submitted its report to the Government and the Andhra Pradesh Council for Higher Education Chairman, KC Reddy disclosed the recommendations to the press on Monday and requested the academics, parents and students to respond and give their suggestion.

The main recommendations are fifty percent weightage to intermediate marks, jumbling for practical examinations, two sessions for engineering and medical course and implementation from 2007.

The committee felt that after five years after introduction of the new system qualifying marks could alone be considered as the sole criterion for admission into all professional courses. The committee was headed by the former Vice Chancellor of JNTU P.Dayaratnam.
