The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet, which met on 3rd, had cleared the proposal to establish a veterinary university at Tirupati at a cost of Rs.248 crores and a new information technology policy effective from 1 st April. The State’s first veterinary university will come up on a 215-acre site of the existing College of Veterinary Sciences. A bill will be tabled in the Assembly during the current budget session.
The new IT policy has several initiatives to develop infrastructure and human capital both with monetary incentives. A ‘Hyderabad Knowledge Corridor” will be developed over 20,000 acres with high class facilities at Gachibowli and other 5 km on either side of the upcoming outer Ring Road. Zonal regulations will not be applicable to them according to Principal Secretary for IT.JC Mohanty.
