The Supreme Court has given a sensational judgment in regard to Private Universities under Chhattisgarh Niji Kshetra Vishwavidyalaya (Sthapana Aur Viniyaman) Adhiniyam, 2002. As per the judgment, leading private universities including Amity, Rai University, NILLM, ICFAI will have a problem with its operations.

The Supreme Court has given this judgment on a petition by former UGC chief Prof Yashpal.

NTR University of Health Sciences has issued notification for admission into postgraduate medical degree/diploma courses and MDS courses for the academic year 2005-06. According to a press release only such candidates who have passed the MBBS examination from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India and have completed or completing their internship before 30th April are eligible to apply for the postgraduate medical entrance test to be held on February 27th.

Application can be made available from 1st February to 19th and candidates desirous of appearing for the PG entrance test may obtain them with the prospectus from the Principals of all Government Medical Colleges.

A new modern gate, built at a cost of Rs.4.75 lakhs, at the entrance of the Engineering College on the National Highway was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor YC Simhadri on Wednesday. The new gate has an arch, a clock tower and with good elevation. Prof.Simhadri later laid foundation for a similar modern gate at the entrance to the university campus near Central Administrative Office.
