MoU will be signed

The row between the State Government and the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) on taking control of the 798 acre Begumpet Airport is being resolved as they both are agreeable to set up an Aviation University Joint venture. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed for this purpose and a consultant would be appointed for this purpose.
The consultant would prepare the terms and conditions, details of the training courses syllabi and curricula, the requirement of buildings, facilities and other infrastructure would be done. A Detailed Integrated Report (DIPR) on this will be prepared shortly.
According to sources, the existing Begumpet Airport would be closed once the International Airport is commissioned. Out of the 798 acres, 92 acres has bee encroached and another 14 acres is being used by the Indian Air force. The State Government has given the land to the AAI for setting up of an airport.
