Post Matric Scholarships for the Session 2006-07

Applications are invited from students of Haryana who have passed various examinations in March/April 2006 for the award of scholarships at the post matric stage under the following scholarship schemes:-
Eligibility for the scholarship
1. National Merit Scholarship (income Limit Rs 1,00000/- p.a.)
Eligibility : Matric/10+2/B.A.III/B.Sc III/B.Com. III
2. Haryana State Meritorious Incentive Scheme; (No Income Limit)
Eligibility : BA/B.Com./B.Sc./Education. On the Basis of final year results/Honours classes and Post Graduate classes.
3. Haryana State Merit Scholarship (No income Limit)
Eligibility : Matric/10+2/BA.lll/B.Sc.lll/B.Com.lll B.Ed/ M.A.II/ M.Com.II / M.Sc II
4. Haryana State Merit Scholarship to Undergraduate girls students.
Eligibility : 10+2
5. Post Matric Scholarship to SC/ST students
"Those SC/ST students who are studying out of Haryana including Chandigarh or in professional institutions which are not under the direct control of this department should apply through their respective heads of Institution to Director, Welfare of Schedule Caste and Backward Classes Department, Haryana, Sector 17, Chandigarh.
Eligibility : 10+2 to B.A/B.Sc./B.Com./M.A/M.Com/M.Sc.
For the eligibility of the scholarship the income limit has been increased to Rs 1,00,000/- from all sources of father/mother or both of the applicant.
6. State (Education) Welfare Scheme-Award of stipend and reimbursement of tuition fee and examination fee to Backward classes/Denotified (Vimukat Jaties), and Tapriwas students.
Eligibility : 10+2/B.A.lll/B.Sc.llI/B.Com.lll Rs 5,000/- Annual income from all sources for Vimukat Jaties and Tapriwas students. Annual income from all sources of Rs 24,000/- for B.C. students.
7.Lower Income Group Scholarship Scheme.
Eligibility : Matric/10+2/B.A.III/B.Sc.III/B.Com lll/M.A.II/M.Com ll/M.Sc. II. Annual income from all sources of Rs 12,000/-
Last date for receipt of applications for both fresh and renewal forms is as under.-
i) Scheme at Sr. No. 1 to 4 :30.9.2006
ii) Scheme at Sr. No. 5 to 7 : 31.10.2006
iii) In case of late result/late admission : 31.10.2006
iv) For all post graduate classes (Scheme at Sr. No. 1 to 7) 30.11.2006
Renewal of Scholarships
1. For renewal of scholarships students must fillup the renewal form every year through Principal/Heads of the institution alongwith attested copy/copies of exams. Passed in the previous year within last date or within one month of the declaration of the results.
2. For at Sr. No. 2 scheme the Students who stand first, second and third in the merit in annual university exams will be given this incentive. This is not renewal scheme. The award holder under this scheme will remain eligible for any other scholarship/stipend.
3. For Sr. No. 4 scheme the scholarship will be given to the 10 girls students on merit basis, who are studying in under graduate classes in Govt. Colleges in Haryana. This is renewal scheme. The student who is getting this scholarship will not be eligible for other schemes of scholarship.
4. Heads of the institution should check the forms throughly and ensure the eligibility, proper documents before forwarding it to this office with their recommendation.
5. Forms for fresh scholarship may be obtained from the Board of School Education, Haryana, Bhiwani/concerned past institutions/Universities free of cost.
6. Incomplete and late received forms are liable to be rejected. Heads of the institutions will be responsible for the same.
7. Income Certificate from the employers in case of working mother/father or both (as the case may be) must be submitted alongwith forms. No income affidavit in such cases will be accepted.
8. Please mention the State Bank of India Branch or State Bank of Patiala Branch or their associate Bank Branch which is nearest to the institution with the exact code No. alongwith DDOs designation in the forms.
9. Domicile certificate is not required from the students passing from the Board of school education Haryana, Bhiwani and Universities situated in Haryana.
10. Only successful candidates will be intimated through their respective institutions about the award of scholarship to them.
