Sainik School admission

Test to be held on January 7

The All India Sainik Schools Examination for admission to Classes VI and IX of Korukonda Sainik School will be conducted on January 7, 2007. The entrance tests will also be conducted at Guntur, Hyderabad, Tirupati, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam.

In a press release by the Sainik School Principal K.K. Biswas said that the sale of school prospectus cum application form has commenced on October 10 and the forms can be had from the Principal, Sainik School, Korukonda on Payment of Rs.375 (Rs.275 for SCs and STs). Candidates could pay at the school counters or send a demand draft payable at SBI, Korukonda in favour of the Principal along with self addressed envelope (16 x 20 cms) without postage on or before December 12, 2006.

Students born between July 2, 1996 and July 1, 1997 are eligible for admission to Class VI while candidates born between July 2, 1993 and July 1, 1994 are eligible for Class IX. For more information, students are advised to contact the school authorities, the release said.
