One college in each of the three regions of the state

The Minister for Agriculture, N. Raghuveera Reddy said on Sunday that the Government has decided to set up three horticulture colleges in the State with one each of the three regions. These colleges would be affiliated to Acharya NG Ranga agricultural University (ANGRAU). He said that the government has also decided to establish an agriculture college in each district along with a polytechnic college affiliated to it.
He laid a foundation stone for a horticulture research station to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1 crore. He said that the government is spending Rs. 500 crores on development of horticulture crops and orchards in the State. The horticulture research would begin in next six months.
