The first counselling for UPMT-2006 for allotment of courses and colleges for the merit listed candidates were held to Dehradun. The Second and last counselling for admission to seats lying vacant in M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S. & B.H.M.S. courses in various colleges, as per details given in this advertisement will be held at Dehradun on 26th & 27th August 2006. The Govt. of Uttaranchal has constituted a separate Counselling Board for this purpose.

The candidates of reserved categories will have the option to take allotment of seats in the general (Open category) on his/her merit or take the seat in the respective category according to the merit wherever applicable.

1.The Invitation for counselling does not confirm any right for admission. The admission will be provided based on the available seats in a particular category/course depending on the merit of the candidates.

2.Before appearing for the conselling, the candidates must read all the important instructions, specifically those mentioned vide Para 5,3 (page no. 6) & 5,4 (page no. 6) of the information Brochure carefully & must bring original as well as two attested photocopies of the following documents :-

(i) 12th Pass Certificates and marksheet (ii)Photographs provided in the application form
(iii)Domicile Certificate (iv)UPMT admit card in original
(v) Mark sheet of UPMT-2006 (vi)10th or equivalent class pass certificate for date of birth
(vii) Caste certificate/sub-category certificate (if candidates belongs to category/sub-category)
(viii)Bank draft of Rs.2000/-in favour of DirectorGeneral,Medical, Health and Family Welfare Govt. of Uttaranchal, Dehradun

The cast & domicile certificate issued by Competent Authority should be in the prescribed format as given in the information Brochure.

3. The candidates interested to participate in the counselling should Register themselves sharp between 9.00 am to 11:00 am on each day of counselling by taking receipt against the payment of Rs. 200/-. The candidates who had earlier registered themselves at the time of first counselling but not taken allotment in any course/ college and sought refund of D.D., Can register themselves again after making cash payment of Rs. 20/- only at the registration counter. However, they must also bring with them a valid D.D. Of Rs. 200/- as mentioned at 2 (Vlllth) above. The concerned parents may be called depending on need or request of the candidates at the time of his/her counselling. In case the candidates is late the option of the candidates shall be limited to the availability of vacant seat at the timing of his/her counselling.

4.As soon as the seats of a particular category are filled counselling for the particular category will be closed.

5. The candidate who fails to produce necessary caste certificates/ documents related to his/her category or other certificates of whose certificates are not deemed appropriate by the Counselling Board shall neither be allotted the seals nor shall get benefit of that particular category etc.

6.If in particular general/ reserved category/sub-category a candidate is not available, Counselling Board will have the right to convert such seat(s) appropriately, as per rule. The decision of the Counselling Board shall be final and binding in all matters.

7.The candidates not willing to avail the seat as per his/ her rank in the merit is not required to appear before the Counselling Board.

8.The Candidates make their own arrangements for boarding and lodging during the counselling.

9.Candiates belonging to physically handicapped category who were earlier called for the counselling but could not get themselves medically examined, will have to appear before the Medical Board Constituted by C.M.O. Dehradun at Doon Hospital, Dehradun on 24th August 2006 for medical examination and obtain physically handicapped certificate. The certificates issued by any other board/ office will not be entertained.

10.The qualified candidates eligible for counselling will appear before the Counselling Board on respective dates as shown below and no separate call letter or information will be sent to the candidates.

11.Candidates who have been allotted seats during the first counselling held on 14,15 and 16 July 2006 are not eligible for his counselling.
