Semester II - Allied II - Interior Design Studio and Building Systems Technology-II

Building System (Theory)

1. Acoustics

Room acoustics, Noise control within a space, Auditorium acoustics.

2. Illumination

Principles of Illumination, Type lighting fixtures, lighting design in residences, offices and stores.

3. Air Conditioning.

Principles of A. C system, types of A.C., application in building like apartments and guest rooms, libraries, museums and hospitals.

4. Electrical services

Electrical System
Symbols used, 3 phase system, single phase, simple electrical layouts.

5. Building Bye-laws (M.M.D.A) No. of hours.
