Semester V - Application Oriented Subject I - Graph Theory I
Graphs, subgraphs, degree of a vertex, isomorphism of graphs,independent sets and coverings, intersection graphs and line graphs, adjacency and incidence matrices, operation on graphs, degree sequence and graphic sequences - simple problems.
Connectedness, walks, trails, paths, components, bridge, block, connectivity - simple problems. Eulerian and hamiltonian graphs, trees - simple problems.
Content and treatment as in INVITATION TO GRAPH THEORY by S. Arumugam and S. Ramachandran, New Gamma Publishing House, Palayam Kottai.
