Semester III - Paper III - Rules of Games and Sports and Officiating I (Track Events, Basketball, Throwball, Hockey & Tennis

Unit I
History and development of the following games (Basketball, Throwball, Hockey, & Tennis) and Track events ( Sprint, Middle Distance, Long Distance, Relay, Cross-country, Combined events and Marathon race).
Unit II
Planning, Construction, Ground measurements, markings and maintenance of the play field and track events.
Unit III
Rules and Regulations of the games and track events.
Unit IV
Duties of Officials, system of officiating and official signals of the games and track events.
Unit V
Various systems of play in the games and styles in the track events.
