Semester I - Practical I - Indigeneous Activities, Calisthenics, Light Apparatus & Rhythmic Exercises

Unit I
i. History and development of Calisthenics.
ii. Importance of Calisthenics
iii. Benefits of calisthenics.
Unit II
i. Aerobic Exercises and Step earobics.
ii. Mass drills and free hand exercises.
Unit III
i. Light Apparatus Exercises - Dumbells, Indian clubs, Hoops. Pole Drills, Wands.
ii. Indigeneous Activities - Dhands and Baitheks, Malkhamb, Pyrmaids.
iii. Rhythmic Activities - Lezium and Folk dance.
iv. Marching commands.
Unit IV
Minor games and lead up games.
Unit V
Teaching practices.
Ten general lesson plans should be prepared by each student.
Method of Evaluation:
1. Performance ofthe student (60 marks)
i. Lesson Planning.
ii. Teaching ability.
iii. Analytical ability.
2. Viva-voce: (20 marks)
i. Theoretical Knowledge of Exercise.
