Semester V - Practical V - Practical in the Jumps, Hockey, Cricket, Kho-Kho / Kabaddi and Handball

GAMES:

Unit II

Learning the basic skills of the game & the scientific principles involved in the skill.

Unit II

vi. General and specific conditioning exercise.

ii. Various drills for developing the basic skills and combination drills.

Unit III

i. Team formation.

ii. Team tactics (Offence and Defence).

Unit IV

i. Scouting and analysis of the individual performance and opposing team.

ii. Standardised skill test in the game.

Unit V

Rules and regulation and officiating.

JUMPS:

Unit I

i. Warming up exercises.

ii. Stretching exercises.

iii. Specific conditioning exercises.

iv. Warming down.

Unit II

i. Learning the basic techniques.

ii. Types of techniques

iii. Steps in learning

a. part by part method

b. part by whole method.

iv. Leaming by observation and by doing as a whole.

Unit III

Scientific principles involved in the execution of the various techniques.

Unit IV

i. Periodisation

ii. Training schedule.

iii. Types of training methods.

Unit V

Rules of the track and field event.

Method of Evaluation:

i. Knowledge of Coaching

ii. Interpretation of the rules.
