Chapter I:

Group Processes: What makes a group? Types of groups, group cohesiveness, group morale & social climate; group vs individuals in problem solving, centralized and decentralized group structure cooperation and competition, The Risky Shift, Hawthorne Study

Chapter II:

Leaders and Leadership - Types of leaders, Functions of leaders, Basic styles of leaders, personal qualities of leaders, Intiation vsConsideration in leaders, Transformational leadership

Chapter III

Aggression and War: The nature of aggression, Is aggression a. Response to frustration? Is aggression learned social behaviour? Reducing aggression; Social Psychology of war and peace- Psychological causes of war, facts about war, suggestions for Peace, Cold War

Chapter IV:

Prejudice : What is prejudice, Sources of prejudice- Social sources, emotional sources, cognitive sources; prejudice Prejudice in action, prejudice based on gender, challenging Prejudice; Conflict- Social dilemmas, competition, perceived injustice, Misperception

Chapter V:

Public Opinion and Propaganda: Dynamics of public opinion, Measurement of public opinion, changing public opinion Propaganda: Suggestion & Education, Techniques of propaganda, Instruments of propaganda.
