1. Definition- Nature of Resources-Classification of resources.
2. Factors influencing agriculture-production and distribution of rice, wheat, sugarcane, coffee, tea, cotton, jute-forestry and fishing.
3. Distribution of minerals-iron ore-coal, aluminium-hydel power-thermal, atomic, nuclear energy.
4. Industries-localisation of industries-study of selected industries-iron and steel-textiles-chemical-ship building-automobile.
5. Transport systems-road, rail, air and waterways-inland and ocean routes- ports and trade.
