Semester VI - Practical III - Mapping of Geographical Data

Duration: 3hrs
Maximum Marks: 100
Credits: 4

(90 hrs)

1. Cartographic Appreciation : Indian sheet, OS.sheet, US.sheet, transport and tourism plate(each one)

2. Marginal Information of Aerial Photograph and annotation-landsat imagenes- Comparison of toposheet, aerial photograph and satellite imagery.

3. Interpretatin- (each one)- Transport and tourism plate - Weather map - Weather satellite imagery using newspaper cutting.

4. Representation of quantitative data-mean, median, mode-frequency curve and frequency polygon-standard deviation-deviation graph-correlation-rank correlation.

5. Diagrammatic representation of climatic data and tourism data - Climatic graph- Climograph - Simple wind roses - Line graph-bars- pie diagram-pictorial diagram.
