Time : Three hours

Maximum : 75 marks

1. The candidate shall answer FIVE questions from Section A and FIVE questions from Section B.
2. Section A consists of TEN short answer questions. The candidate has to answer FIVE questions. The answer shall not exceed 1 page each.
3. Section B consists of FIVE questions. Each question consists of either or choices and the candidate has to answer either (a) or (b) from each question. The answer shall not exceed 5 pages each.

(e) Booking and Trading in debt.
(f) Venture capital.
(g) Credit rating.
(h) Factoring.
(i) Pension funds.
(j) Bill discounting.

SECTION B — (5 x 12 = 60 marks)

2. (a) What are different Financial Systems in India?

3. (a) What are the functions of stock exchanges?

(b) Explain the operations of Stock Exchange.

4. (a) Critically examine the functioning of Merchant Banking in India.

Or

(b) Explain the procedures involved in evaluation of Project Financing.

5. (a) Differentiate between Leasing and Hire purchase.

Or

(b) What are steps involved in debt crutinisation?

6. (a) Critically evaluate the problems and prospects of credit cards in India.

Or

(b) Define venture capital. Explain the operations of venture capital institutions in India.
