1. Define Nursing as a profession. Explain the characterstics of a nursing profession. (2+8=10)

2. Define quality assurance. State the reasons for quality assurance in health care. Describe the structure, process and outcome standards by giving examples from nursing. (2+2+6=10)

3. Define nursing theory. Explain the meaning of the following terms used in "Orem's Self-Care Deficit Theory".

4. Explain the meaning of Health for All. Discues the global strategy for Health for All. (3+7=10)

6. Write short notes on any four of the following : (4x5=20)
