1. (a) Explain the function of a DEBUG window in VB. Write the steps involved in opening of a DEBUG window and performing the Debugging, using some example code. (10)

(b) Write an event procedure that accepts a string as input and displays a message indicating whether the string is a Palindrome or not. (10)

(c) Write the purpose along with an example for each of the following functions : (10)
(i) Pmt function
(ii) CSgn function
(iii) Str
(iv) Val
(v) Len

2. (a) Explain at least 5 properties of a form. (5)

(b) Write an event procedure to simulate a simple calculator. Design sample layout. (10)

3. (a) Write an event procedure for a command button to compute nth power of x where x, n are positive numbers. Design a sample layout for the application. Also, it should include a splash screen. (9)

(b) Explain the difference between a Multiple Document Interface (MDI) application and a Single Document Interface (SDI) application with the help of an example. (6)

4. (a) Write an event procedure to generate random circles, random lines and random pixels on the forms by selecting the corresponding option button placed on the frame control. (8)

(b) Design a Visual Basic application to automate the billing system of a restaurant. Give the details of database tables, forms, controls and menu design (if any). Make assurnptions, wherever necessary. (7)

5. (a) Write the procedure to create a form and use a data control on it, to connect to any Ms-Access database. (7)

(b) Write an event procedure to calculate the least common multiple (LCM) for any given two numbers. Design a user interface for this application. (8)
