SECTION A

1. Differentiate between the feminist struggles of the past and present. Highlight the objectives of these struggles. (10)

2. Define women’s empowerment taking into account the various aspects of empowerment. (10)

3. How can the adverse sex ratio of india be changed to favour females? (10)

4. Women are considered powerless in patriarchal societies. Expand. (10)

5. How does gender discrimination affect the development of women? (10)

6. Society and upbringing is the cause of the differences between boys and girls. How? (10)

7. The Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) is considered a landmark event. Do you agree? Expand. (10)
