2. Critically examine Akbar's policy towards autonomous chieftains. (20)
3. Examine various methods of land revenue assessment prevalent in Mughal India with special reference to zabt. (20)
4. Write a detailed note on the coinage and the minting system of the Mughals. (20)
5. Describe the factors that led to the rise of Maratha power in the seventeenth century. (20)
6. What is turah ? Discuss the Turko-Maongol concept of sovereignty. (20)
7. Analyse the factors responsible for the emergence of towns in Mughal India. (20)
8. Discuss the growth of Sufism in the Mughal period with special reference to the Naqshbandi silsilah. (20)
