1. A chronic bidi smoker male aged 70 years is brought to emergency in a state of confusion and moderately high grade fever with recently worsened dyspnoea. How will you investigate and manage this patient ? (15)
2. How will you approach a geriatric patient of dysphagia ? Discuss its differential diagnosis, relevant investigations and management. (15)
3. A 68 year old diabetic and hypertensive lady on regular antidiabetic drugs but who is erratic with antihypertensive treatment, is brought to emergency in an unconscious state. What could be the possible causes of such a presentation ? How will you manage the patient ? (15)
4. Write brief notes on the following :
(a) Mention causes and outline management of a hypokinetic movement disorder. (5)
(b) Diagnosis and management of Unstable Angina. (5)
(c) Diagnosis and treatment of Hypothyroidism. (5)
(d) Diagnosis and treatment of Senile Osteoporosis in an elderly lady. (5)
(e) Causes and management of blindness and visual impairment in geriatric age group. (5)
