In pursuance of the Judgments of the Honourable Supreme Court and subsequent circulars/ directives of UGC/ AICTE, it has become mandatory for all States to conduct common entrance tests for admission to professional and technical courses. The Government of Goa shall, accordingly, hold a Common Entrance Test for admission to first year degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture in the various colleges in Goa. In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Council of Architecture, an Aptitude Test also shall be conducted for admission to the Degree course in Architecture as a part of CET.

The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa has prepared this information brochure on Goa Common Entrance Test 2006 (GCET-2006) for admission to professional degree courses in Medical, Dental, Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture courses in the State of Goa, for the academic year 2006-07. The Goa Common Entrance Test2006 (GCET 2006) shall be held during first to third week in at centres in Seven designated cities and Aptitude Test for B. Arch. will be conducted at Goa College of Architecture, Panaji and Government Polytechnic, Panaji.

The exact dates in May will be notified through Newspapers.
