Birla Institute of Technology - XVII Convocation Notification

The XVII Convocation of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi for conferring the Degrees/Diplomas on undergraduate and postgraduate Candidates who gave qualified for BE/BTech/BPharm/BArch/BHMCT/BBA/BCA/BSc Degrees/diplomas (Univ. Polytechnic)/ XE/MTech/MPharm/MBA/MCA/MSc Degrees from this University between 11th January 2006 and 31st January 2007 and the Candidates for whom the requirements for Doctorate degree are completed after 31st January 2006, will be held on Wednesday 23rd May, 2007 at 10.00 am in the University Campus at Mesra, Ranchi (Jharkhand, India).

Secretary, Government of India, Department of Atomic Energy & Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission has very kindly consented to deliver the Convocation Address.

Honorable Chancellor of the University, HE the Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Syed Sibtey Razi will preside on the occasion.

Detailed Notification and Application Form (2 separate pages) are hosted at the Institute’s Website: www.bitmesra.ac.in. Recipients of Degrees/Diplomas can download the Application Form for the Degree/Diploma Certificate from website, fill-up and mail with necessary enclosures as per instructions thereon. Recipients from remote areas unable to access website are advised to send their details (Roll No., Name and Branch of Study) with one self-addressed envelope (of size 11 cm x 22.5 cm) to the office of the undersigned, to procure the Application Form. The Recipients of Degrees/Diplomas are cordially invited.

Gowns will be distributed only on Tuesday 22nd May, 2007 from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. Candidates without gowns will not be handed over the Degree Certificate in the Convocation ceremony and entrance to Convocation venue will close by 9.30am.
