Doctorates to be conferred to Rangarajan, Chiranjeevi and Pillai
Visakhapatnam, October 28, 2006
The Vice Chancellor of the Andhra University (AU) L Venugopal Reddy speaking to media said that AU has selected renowned economist and former Governor of Andhra Pradesh, C Rangarajan, DRDO chief controller and Brahmos project chief scientist A Sivathanu Pillai and popular Telugu hero Chiranjeevi for honorary doctorates.
The doctorates would be presented to them during the 71st, 72nd convocations on November 6, 2006 in recognition of their services rendered in their respective fields. Governor of Andhra Pradesh Rameshwar Thakur will be the chief guest while C Rangarajan will deliver the convocation address.
