Andhra University - AU to host 59th All India Commerce Conference

Minister for HRD Purandareswari to inaugurate the conference

Visakhapatnam, December 26, 2006

The Andhra University (AU) will host the prestigious ‘59th All India Commerce Conference’ under the aegis of Indian Commerce Association at AU Convocation Hall from December 28 to 30. The Union Minister for Human Resources Development D. Purandareswari will inaugurate the conference. The Vice Chancellor of AU, L. Venugopal Reddy speaking to media said that the conference is being hosted by the university after a gap of 34 years and it was earlier hosted in 1961 and1974.

Several management experts in all fields, academicians, businesspersons and administrators, researchers would participate in the conference. The Vice Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University V. Bal Mohan Das will the guest of honour for the inaugural session. IIM Bangalore director Prakash G. Apte will attend the valedictory. He said that the conference comprises ‘RN Singh memorial lecture by University of Rajasthan former Vice Chancellor Om Prakash, seminar on ‘Value Based Management-Indian Perspective’.
