To produce 'market-ready' students for globally competing enterprises, Andhra University College of Engineering in collaboration with Liqwid Krystal, a company will offer online soft skills courses. With the tie-up, nearly 2000 students can access online books and multimedia courses on soft, IT and business skills through Liqwid Krystal's product 'www.gyanx.com'. The courses will be upgraded every year.
The students should attend pre and post assessment tests of the online course provider to measure their skill levels. The renowned online learning service providers like Thomson NETg develop the course material. Certificate courses from institutions such as Indian Institute of Science will be available for students.
The AU Vice Chancellor launching the online programme on Friday said that the university aims at producing employable graduates who can earn a minimum monthly salary of Rs. 25,000. He opined that the initiative would meet the industry requirements.
