Certificate and Diploma courses to be started soon
Visakhapatnam, December 6, 2006
The much awaited plans of establishing a centre for distance education in Dravidian University inaugurated on Wednesday. Acharya Ravi Prasad took charge as the Director of the Centre for Distance and Continuing Education in Dravidian University.
In a press release, the Vice Chancellor of Dravidian University G. Lakshminarayana stated that the main objective of the centre would be fulfilling the modern educational needs of the rural areas along with spreading the Dravidian language culture and knowledge.
The five year integrated courses formulated for the first time in the State would be offered soon besides certificate, diploma, post graduate course in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Tulu languages. M.Phil and Ph.D programmes would be started in the distance education mode, the release said.
