The Indian School of Business (ISB) is contemplating to increase its intake to nearly 560 for its one-year postgraduate diploma in business management in the next couple of years. It also plans to introduce Ph.D programmes. The other plans include increase in number of resident faculty at the campus and add two more Centers of Excellence-one for research on strategic marketing and for leadership and change management to its existing four centers. Taking advantage of the several software companies, part time courses for software professional are proposed to be offered.

The ISB is gearing up to pursue relevant research, apart from designing education interventions targeted at mid level software professional with five to eight years of experience in India and abroad. According to ISB Centre for Information Technology and Network Economy Ravi Bapana, the grave situation in the market, particularly in the IT sector, has encouraged the school to take up this research. ISB has recently launched IS Residency for Ph.Ds to pursue research that matters to the IT industry. They will be provided with various facilities and data research. E-Commerce and electronics will be brought under one umbrella to reduce friction between the buyers and sellers. It is also working in tandem with telecom policy makers, as there is a huge shortage of manpower in the telecom spectrum.
