NTR University of Health Sciences - Notification for Admission to MBBS / BDS Courses for the year 2006-07

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for admission into MBBS/BDS Courses for the academic year 2006-07 into all the affiliated Medical and Dental Colleges of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh. A common application form is enough for MBBS / BDS courses to the available seats for admission by the competent authority. Rule of reservation will be strictly followed as per Government orders. Further details of distribution of seats can be known from the prospectus.

Eligibility

(a) The applicant should be an Indian National and should satisfy the Local or Non-Local status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement) as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended vide HG.O.(P) No. 646. dated. 10-7-1979 of Government of Andhra Pradesh.

(b) The candidates should have qualified EAMCET – 2006.

(c) The candidates should have passed two years Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English individually and must have obtained not less than 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes, the marks obtained shall not be less than 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

(d)Minimum Age: The applicant should have completed 17 years by 31st December 2006.

(Other Words: The candidates born or after 2-1-1990 are not eligibile for admission to these courses as per MCI regulations)

Where to get applications?

(a) In Person – The application forms will be sold on all working days at Government Medical and Dental Colleges and at the Camp Office of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Directorate of Medical Education Building, Koti, Hyderabad

(b) By Post – The application forms can be obtained by post only from the Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, AP, Vijayawada 520 008

When to get applications?

1.Commencement of sale of Application forms: 19-06-2006
2.Last date for sale of Application forms: 30-06-2006

Cost of Application Form:

1.All other candidates
In Person: Rs. 600/-
By Post: Rs. 650/-

2.Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates
In Person: Rs. 400/-
By Post: Rs. 450/-

Note:

1.Those application forms obtained with cost of Rs. 400/- or Rs. 450/- shall not be considered for other than SC & ST Candidates and will be rejected.

2.The cost of application form shall be paid in the form of a crossed Demand Draft, drawn not earlier than 12-06-2006 in favor of Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, AP, Vijayawada on any Nationalized bank payable at Vijayawada

Submission of filled in application form:

The filled in application form with all enclosures may be delivered in person at or sent by post in the cover provided to the following address. The Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, AP, Vijayawada – 520 008.

The last date for receipt of filled in application forms is 01-07-2006. Applications received after 5.00 PM on 01-07-2006 and those unaccompanied b the required certificates or with incomplete entries shall stand rejected automatically. We will not consider any postal delay or loss in transit.

NOTE

In case permission is granted by Government of India before FIRST counseling for the academic year 2006-07, for any new medical or dental College(s) the seats in those colleges also will be included for allotment for counseling. NO FURTHER NOTIFICATION WILL BE ISSUED BY THE UNIVERSITY IN THIS REGARD.
