Clinical subjects in good demand

The Vice Chancellor of NTR Health University, Dr.Sambasiva Rao said on Tuesday that the PG medial counselling is going on smoothly and that there are no complaints of any nature from any quarters.

In a press conference he said that during the last couple of days 243 out of 383 clinical seats were filled in while five joined in non clinical degrees. 28 out of 306 clinical diplomas were filled and no non-clinical diploma was allotted till now. He said good number of seats were unfilled as they have already absorbed in some in All India Institute and partly due to elimination of 136 candidates following withdrawal of grace marks.

Among the disqualified candidates, there are 85 in service candidates and the remaining 51 are non service candidates. Clinical subjects like M.D. general medicine, radiology and pediatrics continued to be in demand among candidates. First ranker C. Vijaya Amarnath Reddy did not attend the present counselling as he had already joined M.D. General Medicine at NIMS.
