Admissions Information

Eligibility

Candidates for XIME’s Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) are required to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates who are appearing for their final year examination and are awaiting their results may also apply. They should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the programme until that time. They should also complete all their degree examinations before 23rd June, 2007.Such candidates are also required to provide proof of passing the degree examination with the minimum required marks, latest by 30th September 2007.

Admission Procedure

1. Obtain XIME Application Form & Programme Brochure

The above may be obtained from XIME on payment of Rs. 750 in cash or DD favouring ‘XIME,Bangalore’ payable at Bangalore. Application forms can also be obtained from designated IMS and T.I.M.E learning centers. Alternatively, application form can be downloaded from the website of XIME www.xime.org. Downloaded form may be filled up and sent along with the registration fee of Rs. 750/- in the form of a DD favouring ‘XIME, Bangalore’.

2. Registration for XAT

• Candidates also need to register and appear for XAT 2007 conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, on an all India basis at different centres on January 07, 2007.
• XAT 2007 Form and other relevant details on XAT are available online at http://www.xlri.edu/xat.
• XIME is an Associate Member for this Test

3. Registration for XIME Admission

Applicants desirous of joining XIME need to obtain the XIME application form and register for admission to XIME.
• They should have appeared for the XAT admission test conducted by XLRI.
• CAT and GMAT candidates are also considered. Applicants should indicate the XAT/CAT/GMAT score for the year in the application form and submit a copy of the score card.

XLRI has no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of XIME’s PGDBM Programme

Fee Structure

The programme fee (covering Admission, Tuition, Library, Computer Centre, Establishment, Examinations, Activities and Alumni Association Membership) is to be paid in eight instalments as indicated below:

First Year
Rs. 1,50,000 : Payable in four instalments (Rs. 37,500, 37,500, 37,500 and 37,500)

Second year
Rs. 1,65,000 : Payable in four instalments (Rs. 45,000, 40,000, 40,000 and 40,000) Dates for payment of fees will be announced at the beginning of the year.

Caution Deposit
A one time caution deposit of Rs. 12,000 is payable at the time of admission, which is refundable at the end of the programme, after deducting dues to XIME, if any.

Additional Charges Payable

# Students are also required to pay Rs. 8,000 in the First Year and Rs. 9,000 in the Second Year towards the cost of textbooks, programme materials, economic daily and journal to be supplied.

# The Hostel Fees payable by each student will be approximately Rs. 4,000 per month which includes boarding and lodging and utility charges.

# It is mandatory for every student to possess a laptop PC. The institute will arrange for the supply of the same, ensuring the required feature specifications of XIME. The cost of the laptop is estimated to be in the range of Rs. 50000 - 60000, and is payable by the student to the institute,before June 30, 2007.

# Cost involved in final placement of students has to be met by them.

Note

# Fees must be paid on time. Delayed payments will attract penalty.
# Fees once paid are not refundable.
# Even in the case of a student’s failure / termination or withdrawal from the programme, no refund of fees will be made.

The Administration of Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship reserves the right to make any changes in the requirement and regulations for admission, regulations for continuing in the course or for graduation, contents of the courses, fees charged, regulations affecting students, programme administration, or make any suitable modifications in any provision of the course syllabus, or in any matter incidental or ancillary thereto, should these be deemed necessary in the interest of the students, the institute, or the profession. All matters of dispute shall be subject to the Jurisdiction of Courts of the City of Bangalore.
