About the course

The students will be awarded the M.Sc.(Agri.) Biotechnology degree on successful completion of the course.

The students are taught basic principles and applied aspects of biotechnology in plant system. The syllabus covers basic courses in Genetics & Cell Biology, Biophysics and Microbiology. Applied courses in biotechnology include Techniques in Cell Biology, Fundamentals of Molecular Biology, Techniques in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics & Statistics, Principles of Genetics Engineering, Techniques in Genetics Engineering, Techniques in Plant Tissue Culture, Biotechnology for Crop Improvement, Biodiversity, IPR, Biosafety & Bioethics and Plant Metabolic Engineering.
