Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements

A student for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Arts in French Studies must have passed the HSC or any other equivalent examination.
Furthermore, the student must also have offered French as one of the subjects at the HSC or equivalent examination and secured a minimum of 50% marks in French. Reserved Category students will have to obtain a minimum of 45 % marks in French at this examination.
Students who have cleared the HSC or equivalent examination and done Diploma in French conducted by the University Department of French having secured a minimum of 50% marks at the Diploma in French Examination will also be eligible for the above-mentioned course. Reserved Category students will have to obtain a minimum of 45% marks at this examination.
Students who have cleared the HSC or equivalent examination and studied French elsewhere may appear for an entrance examination in order to qualify for the above mentioned course. They will have to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance test. Reserved Category students will have to obtain a minimum of 45% marks in this entrance test. This entrance test will be conducted by the University Department of French.
