Admission Announcement of Post Master Course in Natural Resource Management

The Course

It is a one year full-time residential course, which is first of its kind in Asia having national and international participation. However for sponsored candidates residential stay would be six months in the campus. The objective of the course is to enhance the skills of resource managers, practitioners, professionals and others interested in sustainable development of forest, natural resources and environment.

Eligibility & Selection Procedure

A candidate must have at least a two years Master's Degree or equivalent degree/diploma (recognised from AIU/AICTE) in any subject, with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. (5% less in case of SC/ST candidates). Those appearing in the final year of their Post Graduate examination can also apply, provided they complete the eligibility criteria by June 30th 2006. Candidates having background and working experience in forestry, agriculture, environment, rural development, biological and social sciences related field will be given preference. The candidates will have to go through a selection process comprising of Written Test, Presentation and Personal Interview, as decided by the Institute. Sponsored candidates are encouraged to apply.

Fellowship

Limited fellowships are also available on the basis of candidate’s past academic credentials and performance during the course, as per rules framed by the Institute.

Reservation

Reservation of seats are available for SC/ST and physically disabled candidates as per GoI rules, provided they meet the minimum eligibility and selection criteria as specified by IIFM.

How to Apply

Application form, Admission Bulletin and other details can be obtained by sending a request along with application fee of Rs 250/- through D.D. in favour of Director, IIFM payable at Bhopal. The application form can also be downloaded from the website: http://www.iifm.ac.in , http//www.iifm.org. In such case the filled-in form should be submitted along with the application fee as mentio ned.
