Pondicherry University - Directorate of Distance Education - Admission Notification for 2006-2007

The Pondicherry University was established in October 1985 by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament. The University, being a Central University is fully funded by University Grants Commision. It is a Member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Admission is open to persons all over India. The medium of instruction is English.

P.G. Diploma Programmes (1 Year)

PG Diploma in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Portfolio Management, Operations Research, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Tourism Administration, Computer Applications*, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Software Marketing, Agricultural Marketing, Co-operative Management, Insurance Management, Human Rights.

*Duration of Course: 18 Months

New Course: Bachelor of Library & Information Science (1 Year)

For application form and information Brochure, write to the Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Pondicherry University, Pondicherry-605 014, along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 150/- drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, Pondicherry University” payable at Pondicherry, with two typed address slips / stickers.

Online Admission

It is a facility to submit your Admission Form through Online and download the same, to submit along with fee, to the Directorate by post, Visit www.pondiuni.org

Spot Admission

Spot admission is a single window concept devised for the convenience of th students. Under this system, the eligible students can bring the original certificates directly to the center, get admitted. The original certificates will be returned to them immediately after verification.

*MBA, BLISc Eligibility: Any Degree from a recognised University

Concurrent Admission: Those who are doing Post Graduate Degree courses in Universities / Colleges / Institutes approved by the Government can also seek admission to Post Graduate Diploma Courses only. The applicants are required to submit a Bonafide student certificate from the Head of the Institution. No need of submission of original certificates.
