Sale of Application Forms
The sale of application forms will begin in the first week of May and will continue till the last date given by the University of Madras. Applications are available at the College Office from 9.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. on all working days. Separate application forms are available for Science, Arts, Commerce (Aided courses), Self-supporting courses Computer Science (BSc & BCA), BBA/Ba Corporate Secretaryship/Ba (French), Commerce (Self-supporting courses) and PG aided and self-supporting courses. Application forms are also available for evening college, Science and Arts. Do not enclose any certificates, (either originals or xerox copies) along with the application but attach a self-addressed postcard carrying the application number. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Kindly fill in all the information in BLOCK LETTERS clearly and mention your email ID. If you are selected for the interview, you will be intimated by post and email. Women students are admitted to all PG courses (excluding M.A. Philosophy), BSc Visual Communication and BA French.
Eligibility
Any student who has successfully completed Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Courses or any course recognised by the University of Madras or its equivalent, with appropriate subjects of study in school, is eligible for admission to the U.G. programme. Kindly go through the prospectus.
An Eligibility Certificate should be produced by candidates who have passed any of the following examinations:
UG:
Higher Secondary or equivalent examination conducted by State Boards in India/abroad other than the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board.
Candidates from CBSE under the open school system.
PG:
All degree (UG/PG) examinations conducted by any other University in India/abroad other than the University of Madras.
The candidate will be admitted after due scrutiny of his/her application.
Admission Procedure
Only those who are provisionally selected will be intimated. The provisionally selected candidates will have to be present along with their parents for the interview in the respective department on the date mentioned in the intimation card. After the interview, if selected, they should pay the fees. Kindly be prepared for a full day. This provisional selection is automatically cancelled if the candidate fails to turn up for the interview on the date and time mentioned. Intimation will be by post and e-mail.

Failure to report in person or submit the required certificates in original or failure to appear for the interview in the case of UG on the date and at the time mentioned, will result in the cancellation of the provisional selection.
The original certificates will not be given to the student for any purpose during the course of the study. The students are therefore advised to take sufficient number of Xerox copies of the original certificate and get them attested by a Gazetted Officer before submitting the same to the College Office.
Withdrawal
A student once enrolled for a course is expected to complete the same. He/She may not withdraw from the college without a permission from the Principal in writing; otherwise he/she will be liable to pay fees for the period his/her name remains on the rolls.
Academic Calendar
The College follows the semester pattern. The odd semesters begin in June and the even semesters in November.
