BE Computer Science and Engineering

About the Course

CSE is a unique course offered only by this University which gives special importance to both hardware and software fields of computer science and engineering. The department has well established hardware and software laboratories with latest equipment to keep pace with the current and upcoming trends. Each student can work individually with the terminals on a one to one basis, thereby providing the students an opportunity to develop their skills and talents. The lab is made available to the students usage even after working hours and during weekends.

Industrial visits, technical symposium and seminars are arranged for students to gain information about the current trends in the field. Well known reputed companies recruit our students through campus interviews.

Eligibility

To get admission the applicants should write a separate Entrance Test conducted by Avinashilingam Deemed University / State Level Common Entrance Examination (CEE) / All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE).

Candidates should have passed in Higher Secondary Examination (Academic / Vocational Stream) and obtained a minimum aggregate percentage of marks as indicated below

Criteria - OC - SC/ST

H.S.C - Academic Stream - (Maths +Physics +Chemistry) - 50% - A pass
H.S.C. - Vocational Stream - (Maths +Theory +Practical) - 50% - A pass

Age limit

Only candidate whose date of birth falls on or after 10-10-1981 is eligible.
For SC/ST and Physically handicapped candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.

SC/ST candidates are given 50% fee concession in the tuition fees

Candidates should have passed the Diploma Courses in relevant branches and obtained a minimum aggregate percentage of marks in pre-final and final semesters as given below

Criteria - OC - SC/ST

Aggregate - (Pre-final + Final Semesters) - 60% - A pass
