Eligibility for - PGDMOM - Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Operation & Management

The candidate must have successfully completed MEO class-I certificate of competency examination conducted by Government of India or equivalent.

All applicants satisfying the above requirements have to be sponsored by their employers or self financing.

Information Brochure-cum-Application Form can be obtained on payment of (non-refundable) application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) by post by sending two self-addressed slips and a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- in favour of IIT Kharagpur payable at any Nationalised Bank at Kharagpur. The request for admission form should be sent to the Coordinator, PGDMOM.

Or, alternatively, download the application form and send to the Coordinator, PGDMOM, along with two self-addressed slips and the Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- as indicated above.

Written Test

A written test of two hours duration will be conducted at one of the three locations as per the candidate's choice

The test will be on the basic knowledge in engineering applicable to marine environment. The final interview for selection will be conducted at IIT Kharagpur.

Code of Conduct

All students are required to abide by all the rules and norms of IIT Kharagpur and conduct themselves in a manner befitting to the rich tradition of IIT Kharagpur. Any breach of discipline will be referred to the Disciplinary Committee, which will recommend any action it thinks fit.

If the number of students qualifying at Chennai/IIT Kharagpur is below certain number the program will run in only one location and the students who have to relocate will be informed of this.

For the program located at Chennai, the students are required to come to IIT Kharagpur for a fortnight before each of the mid-semester and the end-semester examinations.
