Applications on prescribed form are invited for admission to One-Year B.Ed. Course of the session 2006-2007.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
A. For Fresher Candidates:
(a) Should have B.A/B.Sc./B.Mus. (Rabindrasangit) Honours Degree with at least 45% marks in Honours subject.
(b) Should have 3-year B.A/B.Sc./4-year B.Mus. (Rabindrasangit) Degree with at least 45% marks in aggregate, where no separate courses as ‘Honours’ subject are taught.
Fresher candidates must have studied any two of the following subjects as combination at Graduation level. One of which may be Honours subject or Major subject:
Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Hindi, History (Ancient/Modern), Geography, Music (Rabindrasangit), Philosophy, Economics, Mathematics, Physical Science (Physics/ Chemistry) and Life Science (Botany/Zoology) and Physiology (only as subsidiary subject).
B. For Deputed Candidates:
Should have passed B.A/B.Sc./4-year B.Mus. (Rabindrasangit) and have experience as an approved teacher in a school recognized by the W.B.B.S.E. In case of candidates from Secondary Schools under C.B.S.E./I.C.S.E. Board, a copy of letter of affiliation and ‘No Objection’ from a competent authority is needed. He/She has to submit a copy of the letter regarding his/her deputation by the competent authority without which the application will not be entertained.
Selection of method subject will be decided by the Bhavana Admission Committee on the basis of subjects studied at Graduation level.

Prescribed Application form may be obtained from the Office of the Adhyaksha, Vinaya-Bhavana, Visva-Bharati, P.O. Santiniketan, Pin.-731235,Dist. Birbhum, West Bengal by sending a Demand Draft of Rs.150/- drawn in favour of "Accounts Officer, Visva-Bharati", payable at State Bank of India, Santiniketan Branch (Code 2121), along with a self addressed envelop (23cmX11cm) affixed with postage stamp of Rs.7/- only. Application forms may also be obtained personally from the Office of the Adhyaksha, Vinaya-Bhavana, Santiniketan on production of a cash coupon of Rs.150/- only to be collected from the Cash Section of Accounts Office, Visva-Bharati on any working day up to 1.30 pm. and on Tuesdays up to 12 noon. Application forms will be issued from March 17, 2006 to April 6, 2006 (except March 31, 2006). Application duly filled in and completed in all respects must reach the Adhyaksha, Vinaya-Bhavana within 6th April, 2006.
N.B.
1. Incomplete applications in any form are liable to be rejected.
2. Visva-Bharati observes weekly holiday on Tuesday (afternoon) and Wednesday (full).
3. Prospectus of the Institute for B.Ed. course 2006-07 will be made available to the applicants at the time of receiving application form.
4. Application Form can also be downloaded by visiting the University website (www.visva-bharati.ac.in) and filled in form can be sent to the Adhyaksha, Vinaya-Bhavana, Visva-Bharati attaching necessary document as well as a demand draft amounting to Rs.150/-.
